ICD-9-CM 2012 Code Books for Hospitals Volumes 1, 2, 3

ICD-9-CM stands for International Classification of Diseases 9th Revision Clinical Modification. In addition to ICD-9-CM Volumes 1 and 2 diagnosis codes, ICD-9-CM Volume 3 contains ICD-9-CM procedure codes that hospitals must use for reimbursement.

CMS Deadlines: CMS no longer allows a 90-day grace period for using discontinued codes, so get your books early and stay up-to-date! You must use valid ICD-9-CM codes for services performed on or after October 1, 2011.
